The Mendelssohn House is the only remaining private address of the outstanding musician Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (1809-1847).

It has been carefully restored to what it looked like when the composer lived there, and displays original sheets of music, water colours painted by Mendelssohn himself, authentic furniture and the composer's study. Sunday Concerts are held in the music salon at 11.00pm.
